Global Operations Engineer

Description

The job of the Global Operations Engineer (GOE) is to provide support services to Manufacturing users in order to resolve problems experienced in the effective use of the Computer Aided Manufacturing systems. In this position, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Providing support services over multiple media types such as phone, Emil, phone conferencing and where appropriate, touch services and others
- Providing flexibility in scheduling, able to operate within the 24 hour by seven days a week (24x7) environment and multiple shifts
- Providing services that require high attention to detail, strong written and verbal communications skills
- Responsible to prioritize, troubleshoot, multitask, take risks and ask questions on a daily basis
- Performing the duties described above as well as physically able to lift up to 11.36Kgs

Required Qualifications

You should possess a Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Information Systems or equivalent major. Additional qualifications include:
- Competent English written and spoken communications (CET six or better would be an added advantage, CET four as minimum)
- Mandarin speaking proficiency
- Effective learners, hands-on skills in the areas of interest and the ability to function effectively as an individual contributor

- Ability to be successful in a fast pace environment with an appropriate amount of direct supervision
- Initiative, creativity and openness to do things differently than the norm
- Any computer operating systems or platform experience required (Windows* or Unix* would be an added advantage)
