Bhargava Degree College imparts instruction in Medical, Non-Medical, and Arts streams. The University has also allowed the college to admit students in B.C.A. and B.B.A. courses. The Department of Education, Jammu and Kashmir Government granted permission to start Bhargava Degree College at Samba in the year 2001. It was later affiliated to the University of Jammu in the same year.
The college has shown above 90% results during all these years achieving excellence performance in the academic field, resulting in the grant of permission of Jammu and Kashmir Govt. Higher Education Deptt. to start Post Graduate Degree in English, thereby enhancing the educational opportunities for the rural depressed students of Samba Distt. for whom higher education was a dream.
