1. दिक्कालाद्यनवच्छिन्नानन्तचिन्मात्रमूर्तये ।
                         स्वानुभूत्येकमानाय नमः शान्ताय तेजसे ॥

                        dikkAlAdyanavacChinna ananta chinmAtra mUrtaye ।
                        svAnuBUtyekamAnAya namaH shAntAya tejase ॥

 

       Meaning: Salutations to The Lord. Your form is infinite, not even bound by any directions or time. The experience is what makes one feel real God.

 

 

                    2. यां चिन्तयामि सततं मयि सा विरक्ता
                        साप्यन्यमिच्छति जनं स जनोऽन्यसक्तः ।
                        अस्मत्कृते च परिशुष्यति काचिदन्या
                        धिक्तां च तं च मदनं च इमां च मां च ॥

                        yAM chintayAmi satataM mayi sA viraktA

                        sApi anyam icChati janaM sa jano`nyasaktaH ।

                        asmatkRute cha parishuShyati kAchid anyA

                        dhiktAM cha taM cha madanaM cha imAM cha mAM cha ॥

      Meaning: I adore her, she is in love with another man. That man has a secret relationship another women and this chain goes on. What is this Oh Lord Madana, The God Of Love? It is very sad to be a part of this cycle.

 

 

                       3.अज्ञः सुखमाराध्यः सुखतरमाराध्यते विशेषज्ञः ।
                         ज्ञानलवदुर्विदग्धं ब्रह्मापि नरं न रञ्जयति ॥

 

                        ajnaH suKamArAdhyaH suKataramArAdhyate viSeShajnaH ।
                        jnAnalavadurvidagdhaM brahmApi naraM na ra~jjayati ॥

     Meaning: Ignorant people can be convinced very easily. The intelligent people are more easy to handle as they know what is truth. It is impossible even for the God himself to convince a half-knowledged person because they resemble a vessel filled with half water making noise all time.
 
                      4. प्रहस्य मणिमुद्धरेन्मकरवक्रदंष्ट्रान्तरात्
                          समुद्रमपि सन्तरेत्प्रचलदूर्मिमालाकुलम् ।
                          भुजङ्गमपि कोपितं शिरसि पुष्पवद्धारये
                          न्न तु प्रतिनिविष्टमूर्खजनचित्तमाराधयेत् ॥

 

                         prahasya maNimuddharet makaravakradaMShTrAntarAt
                         samudramapi santaret prachalad UrmimAlAkulam ।
                         bhujaNgamapi kopitaM shirasi puShpavat dhArayet
                         na tu pratiniviShTa mUrKajanacittam ArAdhayet ॥

     Meaning: One may extract pearl from crocodile's teeths if he is courageous. He may also sail through a rough ocean and even wear an alive snake as a decorative flower for his head. But it is impossible for him to make a fool understand a simple logic.

 

                     5. लभेत सिकतासु तैलमपि यत्नतः पीडयत्
                         पिबेच्च मृगतृष्णिकासु सलिलं पिपासार्दितः ।
                         कदाचिदपि पर्यटञ्छशविषाणमासादयेत्
                         न तु प्रतिनिविष्टमूर्खजनचित्तमाराधयेत् ॥

 

                        labheta sikatAsu tailamapi yatnataH pIDayat
                        pibeccha mRugatRuShNikAsu salilaM pipAsArditaH ।
                        kadAchidapi paryaTa`nChashaviShANam AsAdayet
                        na tu pratiniviShTa mUrkhajana chittam ArAdhayet ॥

     Meaning: With sufficient effort, one can extract oil by sand and drink water at a mirage. Even one can come across a rabbit with horns but it is impossible to make a fool understand a simple logic.

 

                    6. व्यालं बालमृणालतन्तुभिरसौ रोद्धुं समुज्जृम्भते
                        छेत्तुं वज्रमणीञ्छिरीषकुसुमप्रान्तेन सन्नह्यते ।
                        माधुर्यं मधुबिन्दुना रचयितुं क्षाराम्बुधेरीहते
                        नेतुं वाञ्छति यः खलान्पथि सतां सूक्तैः सुधास्यन्दिभिः ॥

 

                       vyAlaM bAlamRuNAlatantubhirasau roddhuM samujjRumbhate
                       CettuM vajramaNI`nChirISha kusuma prAntena sannahyate ।
                       mAdhuryaM madhubindunA rachayituM kShArAmbudherIhate
                       netuM vA`nCati yaH khalAn pathi satAM sUktaiH sudhAsyandibhiH ॥

   Meaning: Will it be possible to stop a big elephant by a small lotus stalk? Or is it possible for Shireesha flowers to cut diamond? Is it possible for a drop of honey to sweeten the whole ocean? Likewise, it is impossible for a foolish person to follow path of a noble person by talking sweetly.

 

                  7. स्वायत्तमेकान्तगुणं विधात्रा विनिर्मितं छादानमज्ञतायाः ।
                      विशेषतः सर्वविदां समाजे विभूषणं मौनमपण्डितानाम् ॥

 

                      svAyattam ekAntaguNaM vidhAtrA vinirmitaM ChAdAnamajnatAyAH ।
                      visheShataH sarvavidAM samAje vibhUShaNaM maunamapaNDitAnAm ॥

     Meaning: Silence is the best weapon in the world to cover up your ignorance. Use it wisely.

 

                     8. यदा किंचिज्ज्ञोऽहं द्विप इव मदान्धः समभवं

                        तदा सर्वज्ञोऽसमीत्यभवदवलिप्तं मम मनः ।

                        यदा किंचित्किंचिद्बुधजनसकाशादवगत
                        तदा मूर्खोस्मीति ज्वर इव मदो मे व्यपगतः ॥

 

                       yadA kiMcijjno`haM dvipa iva madAndhaH samaBavaM
                       tadA sarvajno`samItyaBavadavaliptaM mama manaH ।
                       yadA kiMchit kiMchid budha jana sakAshAd avagata
                       tadA mUrkhosmIti jvara iva mado me vyapagataH ॥

 

      Meaning: With our limited knowledge, we feel we are the masters of the subject. But by having conversations with the subjects experts, our pride comes down and we realise how small we are.

 

                    9. कृमिकुलचितं लालाक्लिन्नं विगन्धि जुगुप्सितं
                        निरुपमरसं प्रीत्या खादन्नरास्थि निरामिषम् ।
                        सुरपतिमपि श्वा पार्श्वस्थं विलोक्य न शङ्कते
                        न हि गणयति क्षुद्रो जन्तुः परिग्रहफल्गुताम् ॥

 

                    kRumikulachitaM lAlAklinnaM vigandhi jugupsitaM
                    nirupamarasaM prItyA khAdannarAsthi nirAmiSham ।
                    surapatimapi shvA pArshvasthaM vilokya na shaNkate
                    na hi gaNayati kShudro jantuH parigraha phalgutAm ॥

 

      Meaning: Dog will chew its bone happily without any hesitation even if its stinking, covered with saliva or any other damages, even if its in front of Lord Indra. Similarly, It is the duty of living beings to accept the surrounding and live in it even though they are filled with many important things.

 

                    10. शिरः शार्वं स्वर्गात्पशुपतिशिरस्तः क्षितिधरं
                         महीध्रादुत्तुङ्गादवनिमवनेश्चापि जलधिम् ।
                         अधोऽधो गङ्गेयं पदमुपगता स्तोकमथवा
                         विवेकभ्रष्टानां भवति विनिपातः शतमुखः ॥

 

                         shiraH shArvaM svargAt pashupati shirastaH kShitidharaM
                         mahIdhrAd uttuNgAd avanimavaneshchApi jaladhim ।
                         adho`dho gaNgeyaM padamupagatA stokamathavA
                         vivekabhraShTAnAM bhavati vinipAtaH shatamuKaH ॥

 

        Meaning: The river ganga which is on head of Lord Shiva, starts its journey from the peaks of Himalayas. In its onwards journey she starts decending and flows through all low levelled areas and finally mearge into ocean. In the same way, idiots also stick on to the worst possible path making their lives miserable all time.
